Originally formed in 2000, Fear Liston spent that decade playing bars and clubs all across southeastern Massachusetts from Boston(Copperfields/Bell In Hand) to the Cape(Improper Bostonian), as well as Providence(Rira), Newport(One Pelham East), and all over their hometown area of North Attleboro(The Chieftain). The members mostly took the 2010s off to raise families and take a much-needed break. Now, a little older and hopefully wiser, they are back with an updated setlist, a new drummer, and a renewed excitement for performing countless classics for people. The setlist was always a combination of well-known standards, both mid and up-tempo, as well as lesser-covered songs that the members found fun and interesting. They’ve taken the best of that tried and true setlist from back then and spent the last year refining it as well as adding many new songs. While admittedly not a “tribute band”, Fear Liston prefers to approach the songs as tributes to the artists they love so much. Therefore, in many cases, the songs are carefully recreated to be faithful to the originals as much as possible. It’s this diverse setlist and attention to musical detail that keeps the band, and their fans, engaged show after show and allows them to play anything from a backyard 40th birthday party to a 1 am club where everyone just wants to dance. If you like listening to live music performed well, then Fear Liston is the band for you.
